Willamette Valley Animal Hospital of Tualatin is a fast-paced walk-in only veterinary clinic. We are a four doctor small animal practice committed to providing affordable and quality care to our furry friends!
We are looking for a veterinary receptionist that shares our love for animals to join our fast paced hospital! The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service, is highly self-motivated and works well as a team and independently, animal handling is a plus. The veterinary receptionist is a key member of our team who is the first point of contact for our clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Customer service functions, including: greeting clients and checking them in, answering phones and emails, showing clients and pets into exam rooms, going over prescribed medication instructions with owners and checking them out.
- Taking a brief history of patient.
- Getting a weight and a temperature from patient once in the exam room.
- Scheduling and confirming surgical appointments.
- Placing calls to other clinics to obtain medical records.
- Presenting and explaining charges, processing payments.
- Filling prescription medications accurately.
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and general pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
- Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring the lobby is neat at all times.
- Sterilizing exam rooms in between patients.
- Previous experience with Covetrus Pulse (EvetPractice) would be a plus.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
