Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, and a passion for animal care. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the veterinary practice. Your expertise in pet care, administrative support, and client communication will ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for pet owners and their animals.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice.
- Manage appointment scheduling using veterinary software, coordinating with veterinary staff to optimize daily workflow.
- Collect and process payments accurately, including medical collections and billing procedures.
- Assist with client communication regarding pet health, treatment plans, and follow-up care, ensuring clarity and compassion.
- Maintain organized front desk operations, including filing, record keeping, and compliance with Veterinary Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations and USDA guidelines.
- Provide administrative support related to laboratory procedures, medical records, and inventory management of veterinary supplies.
- Uphold aseptic techniques during animal handling and assist with kennel duties as needed to ensure animal comfort and safety.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or animal healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and companion animal medicine.
- Familiarity with veterinary software systems for scheduling, record keeping, and billing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience handling dogs and other animals safely using proper restraint techniques.
- Understanding of laboratory procedures, drug regulations (DEA), USDA policies, and pet care standards.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for administrative tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
