Mission Vet Specialty & Emergency in San Antonio is seeking a board‑certified cardiologist or a residency‑trained veterinarian pursuing board certification in cardiology. The role will fill the only full‑time cardiology position and lead the department’s development, providing world‑class cardiac care to our veterinary patients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the cardiology service and manage all cardiac care activities.
- Select and oversee ECG and echocardiography equipment.
- Collaborate with specialists in surgery, neurology, dermatology, oncology, internal medicine, and emergency & critical care.
- Participate in advanced procedures such as PDA ligation and pacemaker placement with experienced surgeons.
- Provide 24/7 care support for hospitalized cardiac patients.
- Help expand the hospital to over 10,000 square feet, including new operating room space.
