Overview
Veterinary Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (LVT, PT, RVT, CVT) Jobs in Dallas, TX at HEAL Vet
Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (LVT, RVT, CVT, or Physical Therapist)
At HEAL Vet, rehabilitation is much more than underwater treadmill sessions. We believe every patient deserves an individualized plan built around finding why they aren’t moving well—not simply treating the symptoms.
We’re seeking an energetic, compassionate, and intellectually curious Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapist to join our growing team. Whether you’re an experienced rehabilitation technician or a physical therapist transitioning into veterinary medicine, we’re looking for someone who enjoys clinical problem-solving, lifelong learning, and building meaningful relationships with pet owners.
Who We Are
HEAL Vet is an independently owned, integrative veterinary hospital focused on helping pets achieve healthier, more active lives. Our philosophy is built around four guiding principles:
Health. Enrichment. Advocacy. Longevity.
Our rehabilitation service works closely with veterinarians certified in:
- Canine Rehabilitation
- Veterinary Acupuncture
- Veterinary Chiropractic
- Advanced Pain Management
- Regenerative Medicine
- Fear Free techniques
We evaluate and treat orthopedic, neurologic, geriatric, post-operative, chronic pain, and athletic performance patients through both referral and primary-care pathways.
Rather than relying on standardized therapy protocols, we develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s diagnosis, functional limitations, goals, and response to therapy.
Our Rehabilitation Facility
You’ll have access to the tools needed to provide truly individualized care, including:
- Underwater treadmill
- Professional land treadmill
- Class IIIb and Class IV therapeutic lasers
- Shockwave therapy
- Therapeutic ultrasound
- Electrical stimulation
- Diverse rehabilitation equipment
More importantly, you’ll work alongside veterinarians who value collaboration, curiosity, and evidence-informed medicine.
What You’ll Do
As a rehabilitation therapist, you’ll play an essential role in improving mobility, comfort, function, and quality of life for our patients.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform functional rehabilitation assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
- Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans with measurable short- and long-term goals
- Deliver rehabilitation treatments safely and effectively
- Monitor patient response and modify treatment plans as progress occurs

- Maintain accurate medical documentation
- Collaborate with veterinarians and nursing staff to provide comprehensive patient care
- Assist in supervising rehabilitation assistants and support staff
- Participate in community education and referral partner outreach
- Continue professional growth through CE and evidence-based learning
We’re Looking For Someone Who…
- Is genuinely passionate about helping animals regain function and mobility
- Enjoys solving clinical problems rather than simply following protocols
- Thrives working as part of a collaborative medical team
