Veterinary Assistant / Technician Jobs in Mead, WA at VCA Animal Hospitals
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen in a AAHA hospital.
In this position you will be supporting our four Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:
Working with exotic patients, including birds, reptiles, small mammals, and rabbits in addition to dog and cat patients
Collecting medical history for patient appointments.
Maintaining medical records.
Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
Filling prescriptions.
Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets.
Practicing fear free techniques for all our patients.
Performing hands-free radiographs, training will be provided.

Hourly wage $17.25 to $18.25 dependent on experience
Weekday hours 7:25am to 6pm and rotating Saturday’s 7:30am -3pm required.
