Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Allcare Animal Hospital. In this role, you will support veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to our patients while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and their owners.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
Prepare animals for surgery and assist with post-operative care.
Perform laboratory tests and maintain accurate records.
Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital facilities.
Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing their questions and concerns.
Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
Requirements
Experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is required.
Strong knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and veterinary critical care is a plus.
