Position Overview: The veterinary assistant / technician provides support to the veterinarians and technicians in their daily tasks by cleaning and maintaining equipment, feeding, exercising and grooming patients, preparing and sanitizing surgery suites, restraining and handling patients, and clerical and administrative work. They deliver quality care for all patients and provide exceptional service.
Position Requirements:
Veterinary technician/assistant with customer service skills.
Certified veterinary assistant (CVA) preferred but not required.
Equine knowledge and handling required. Will be bending, kneeling, and walking with equipment.
Good time management skills, able to multi task, and work independently.
Lifting up to 50lbs, able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Office duties, answering the phones, taking payments, processing health certificates for horses shipping, attaching lab results, DVM billing, processing labs, downloading radiographs and ultrasounds to the server.
Clean driving record and a valid driver’s licenses.
Great communications skills, can do attitude, and wiliness to learn.
