Duties:
– Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
– Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and wound care
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
– Take and develop X-rays of animals
– Clean and sanitize exam rooms, surgical areas, and equipment
– Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
– Provide compassionate care and support to animals and their owners
Skills:
– Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior
– Proficient in performing veterinary procedures and handling animals safely
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with veterinarians, colleagues, and pet owners
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
– Attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and medication administration
Please note that experience in pet grooming or dog training is not required for this position. The focus of this role is primarily on veterinary medical care.
