What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate veterinary technician or assistant who shares our commitment to outstanding patient care and client service. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a collaborative setting, enjoys building relationships with pet owners, and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of animals.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism when arriving for their appointment. During client check-in, obtain pet history, weight and vital signs.
Effectively communicate with clients and gather appropriate information for the veterinarians when scheduling appointments
Assist veterinarians in routine or emergency appointments with exams, procedures, surgeries, dentistry, and euthanasia
Prepare patients for procedures, perform patient restraint and monitoring, as well as diagnostic tests, lab work, and radiology.
Provide patient treatments and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian or lead veterinary technician
Prepare patients for discharge or transfer to referred veterinary services
Provide compassionate handling and care for all patients
Educate clients on pet health, nutrition, and preventive care
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital, exam rooms, and equipment
Qualifications:
At least 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary setting preferred
Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and lab testing skills are desirable
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Passion for animal care and client education
