– Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
– Perform animal restraint and handling during examinations and procedures
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Prepare animals for surgery, including cleaning and disinfecting surgical areas
– Monitor animals during surgery and recovery, ensuring their comfort and safety
– Collect samples for laboratory testing and perform basic laboratory procedures
– Assist with diagnostic imaging, such as X-rays or ultrasounds
– Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration

– Strong animal handling skills, including the ability to safely restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
– Knowledge of animal care techniques, including feeding, grooming, and exercise requirements
– Experience with dog handling, including leash training and basic obedience commands
– Proficiency in animal catheterization techniques
– Familiarity with equine care practices and procedures
– Understanding of animal physiology and common health conditions
– Knowledge of laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis
– Ability to maintain aseptic technique during medical procedures
– Experience in veterinary critical care, including emergency response and monitoring
