We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. We have state of the art medical equipment and a progressive approach to medicine. We are seeking support staff for our busy, expanding business; grow with us! The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a commitment to providing excellent care. Responsibilities include assisting the veterinarian during exams, administering medications, performing laboratory tests, and educating clients on pet health and wellness.
Qualified candidates should possess good people and computer skills, be able to restrain cats and dogs according to Fear Free and Cat Friendly guidelines, perform blood draws and administer vaccines, place catheters, and assist in sedated procedures, including dental prophylaxis. We have in-house ultrasound equipment, lab equipment, and digital radiology. The successful candidate will also be comfortable with handling animals of all sizes and breeds and will be able to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist DVMs and veterinary assistants with appointments.
Maintain accurate medical records by obtaining accurate vitals and medical histories and noting any changes in the patient’s condition to DVM.
Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed by the veterinarian.
Provide support to the veterinarian during examinations and treatments.
Monitor and record vital signs of animals.
Assist in preparing laboratory samples by proactively setting up procedures or diagnostic tests.
Clean and maintain animal cages and kennels.
Surgical assisting, prepping patients for surgery and minor procedures,
Restrain animals in a safe, efficient, and caring manner.
Collect and prepare laboratory samples such as fecal, urine, and ear cytology.
Care and maintenance of all medical equipment, including laboratory machines, surgical packs, anesthesia machines, and other tools essential to daily operations.
High-quality client communication on patient updates and questions.
Position Requirements:
Licensed in NC
Flexible Monday-Friday schedule
Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling.
Must possess strong communication skills, sound judgment, and be able to manage stressful situations and work with others on a team respectfully.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Pay: $13.00 – $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
