Veterinary Technician/Assistant Position

Town & Country Animal Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team!
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Veterinary Assistant who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the practice is essential.
Schedule and Availability:
- Shifts vary based on business needs. Candidates must have open, flexible availability. Regular evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required.
Responsibilities:
- Safely assist with patient handling and restraint during examinations and treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary hospital environment.
- Perform kennel duties, including feeding, watering, and walking boarded patients. Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, and picking up after animals.
- Collect blood, urine, fecal, and other diagnostic samples as directed.
- Assist with surgical preparation and monitoring, including anesthesia monitoring under veterinary supervision.
- Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized and recovering patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients regarding patient care.
- Collaborate effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members to provide exceptional patient care.
- Support daily hospital operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous veterinary experience is preferred but willing to train the right
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Passion for animal health and welfare with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to safely and confidently work with dogs and cats of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the needs of the hospital.
- Basic computer proficiency.

Pay: $12.00 – $16.00 per hour
