VCA Westbury animal hospital is looking to expand their team!
Duties:
– Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
– Assist Veterinarians with various laboratory tests
– Assist Administering medications and vaccines to animals
– Assist with X-rays
– Assist with preparing animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
– Provide assistance with post-operative care and monitor recovery
– Provide assistance dental cleanings and extraction- Medically restrain animals during visits.
Experience:
– Previous experience working as a veterinary technician/assistant is not required, we are willing to train the right candidate!
Requirements:
– High School Diploma is required.
– Reliable Transportation is also a requirement.
This position requires a strong passion for working with animals, as well as the ability to handle potentially stressful situations. Veterinary technicians/assistants play a crucial role in providing quality care to animals and supporting veterinarians in their work.
