Full Job Description
Looking for a friendly, energetic, and professional person who wants to join a fast paced two doctor Veterinary Hospital with a lively young group of staff members.
Must be competent with computers and modern technology and be able to multitask.
This position requires great communication skills, ability to file charts, and working with a computer Scheduler (Cornerstone). Must be detail oriented and work well with public. Preferred but not required – Running bloodwork, drawing blood, catheterizing, taking radiographs, monitoring surgery
Must not be afraid to work will all types of animals and be able to lift a minimum of 70#.
Veterinary medical knowledge desired but not necessary for the right person.
Compensation based on experience
FULL TIME OR PART TIME- PART TIME WOULD REQUIRE THURSDAY
Summary
As a Veterinary Assistant/Technician, you will be integral to providing high-quality care for animals in a clinical setting. Reporting to the veterinarian, your core responsibilities will include animal handling, administering treatments, and assisting with procedures, loading rooms and getting through history and helping the Technician/Doctor. Your expertise in veterinary terminology and animal physiology will be essential in ensuring accurate communication and effective care. Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in examining and treating animals, ensuring proper animal handling and restraint techniques are used.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed, while maintaining accurate records of treatments.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and treatment plans.
Monitor animal behavior and health, providing support in kennel management and grooming as needed.
Assist in laboratory procedures and perform basic diagnostic tests.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
