Tumalo Animal Hospital Hospital is looking to add a full or part time veterinary assistant or certified veterinary technician to our team!
A full time position is four 10 hour shifts with 3 days off a week! Work life balance is important to us, and we work hard to create a great working environment. The position is available now.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Patient check in and assisting doctor with examinations
- Filling prescriptions
- Administering medication- both oral and injectable
- Venipuncture and catheter placement
- Surgical prep and assisting – pending experience and comfort level
- Anesthetic monitoring – pending experience and comfort level
- Patient recovery
- Laboratory work
- Pharmacy
- Radiology
- Provide compassionate care for all of our patients
Qualifications
- Friendly attitude- even when dealing with disgruntled clients
- Ability to problem solve quickly
- Good communication skills with clients
- Previous experience in veterinary medicine
- Ability to work well with fellow staff members
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment while maintaining respect and compassion for coworkers, patients and clients.
