Handle routine technician exams and walk in vaccine appointments in a high-volume hospital
Independently schedule, check-in, check out appointments
Monitor animal health and provide basic care under doctor direction.
Maintain records of animal health and treatments.
Administer medications and vaccinations to animals.
Assist veterinarians in medical procedures.
Place IV catheters, blood draws
Collect diagnostic samples and imaging.
Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and in house bloodwork.
Assist in the rehabilitation of injured or sick animals.
Able to work independently and autonomously.
Triage patients, perform physical exams, treatments, and administer medication as directed by the Lead Veterinary Technicians
Assist doctors and technicians with patient restraint.
Operate and maintain hospital equipment including EKG, fluid pump, syringe pump, scales, anesthetic monitors and machines, etc.
Fill prescriptions, calculate and administer medications, maintain proper documentation, logging, and security of controlled drugs.
Feed patients as prescribed by the Doctor or as the client has requested; record appetites; recognize and report any unusual conditions or abnormal behaviors.
Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital each day; clean equipment, kennels and facilities using chemicals and supplies
Schedule M/W/TH/F/Sat – 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Qualifications:
Minimum two years of practical experience in an emergency or urgent care setting
Excellent listening and communication skills
Highly detail oriented
Compassionate
The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste

Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
