Ingersoll Animal Hospital is adding Experienced Veterinary Assistants and Credentialed Veterinary Technicians to our growing team!
About Us:
Located in Des Moines, IA we are a well-established, full-service small animal hospital providing top-tier care to our clients and their furry family members. As an AAHA accredited facility, we provide care from wellness exams and minor emergencies all the way to rehabilitation and long-term pain management. Our 4 doctors are passionate about quality animal care, especially rehabilitation, and utilize technicians and assistants to the best of their skillset. Our services include acupuncture, in-house and referral diagnostics, an endoscopic otoscope, laser therapy, ultrasound, digital radiographs, laparoscopic surgery, and other state-of-the-art equipment.

Our Vet Assistant responsibilities include:
Ensuring patient wellbeing (including feeding, medicating, and walking as needed)
Communicating the needs of our patients to the team
Engaging with our clients and their pets
Actively assisting with the flow of patients
Assisting veterinarians with examinations as needed
Assisting with surgical prep, monitoring, and recovery
Overseeing the general cleanliness and upkeep of the facility
Salary: Based on experience, $15.00+/hr; skilled & experienced applicants may be eligible for sign-on bonus!

Anticipated Schedule:
Daytime shifts for full and part-time team members are available. Flexibility is important and we want you to feel like you have a good work-life balance.
Clinic hours:
Mon-Fri: 7 AM – 6 PM
Sat: 7 AM – Noon; Closed the 2nd and 4th Saturday each month
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 38 per week
