Job Summary:
As a Veterinary Assistant, you will assist our veterinarians and technicians in providing medical care to animals, ensuring a clean and organized clinic, and delivering excellent customer service to pet owners. Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams and procedures
Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
Prepare examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment
Administer medical treatment and medication under supervision
Clean and maintain kennels, treatment areas, and medical equipment
Assist with laboratory tests and sample collection
Provide post-operative and general care instructions to pet owners
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with clerical tasks as needed
Offer comfort and reassurance to both pets and their owners
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred but not required
Passion for working with animals and ability to handle them safely
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in veterinary assisting is a plus
