We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care for animals in a veterinary clinic setting. Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and equipment.
Perform animal restraint to ensure the safety of both the animals and staff during treatments.
Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian, ensuring proper dosages and methods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennels and treatment areas.
Provide basic animal care, including feeding, bathing, and exercising animals as needed.
Utilize veterinary terminology effectively when communicating with team members and pet owners.
Manage front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments and handling client inquiries.
Support animal husbandry practices to promote health and welfare within the clinic.
Skills
Proficiency in animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling of pets.
Familiarity with veterinary terminology to facilitate effective communication within the clinic.
Experience in front desk operations, including appointment scheduling and customer service skills.
Background as a veterinary technician or similar role is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of animal care practices, including feeding, grooming, and basic health monitoring.
Understanding of animal husbandry principles to support overall animal health.
Experience working in a kennel or similar environment is beneficial.
Ability to administer medications accurately under the supervision of licensed veterinarians.

Pay: $15.80 – $25.00 per hour
