Veterinary Assistant / Technician Jobs in Willow Grove, PA at East Wind Animal Hospital
Overview:
East Wind Animal Hospital is a privately owned, growing, progressive small animal practice dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care and compassionate service to our clients and their pets. We offer comprehensive general practice and urgent care services. As our hospital continues to expand, we are looking to add additional veterinary assistants and technicians to our team.
We are open to both licensed and unlicensed veterinary technicians of varying skill levels. We are open to and encourage discussion about additional formal training, as well as additional in-house training with our skilled team.
Technical staff we are looking for include:
- Outpatient Clinical Technicians
- Urgent Care Clinical Technicians
Advanced skills needed for each of these positions will be variable, as will the associated pay. Progression to surgical and hospital associated roles are available with training. Licensure will be required to be considered for wages on the high end of the range. For those with multiple skill types, we also encourage combined roles.
All applicants should have the following:
- Basic canine and feline restraint skills for exams and assessment
- Canine and feline restraint for injections and blood collection
- Basic understanding of regional recommended vaccines and preventatives for both canines and felines
- Ability to collect a comprehensive medical history
- Good client communication skills for client education
- Ability to work in a team environment with other techs of variable skill levels, as well as veterinary assistants, client service representatives, and doctors
- Interest in growing with a new practice

Our Interview Process:
To ensure the best fit, our hiring process includes two interviews:
- A phone interview
- An in-person interview where you’ll meet the entire team and see our hospital in action
