Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Jobs in Ontario, CA at Inland Animal Hospital
We are a fast-paced, one veterinarian hospital seeking veterinary assistants and receptionists who have previous veterinary experience.Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to- Assisting veterinarians in patients care and medical treatments by placing catheters, drawing and running bloodwork, taking x-rays, giving injections, administering medications, filling prescriptions.- Client education including presenting estimates, explaining medications, explaining importance of diagnostics and preventative care.- Cleaning and maintaining hospital for daily use to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.- Answering phone calls, emails, and in person questions.- Computer skills, Knowledge of AVImark, fax, alphabetical filing.- Available for late hour emergencies.- Must be willing, hard working, detail orientated and a team player.Job Types: Full-timePay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hourExperience:Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Required)Work Location: In person
