Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assitant / Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your passion for animals and ability to communicate effectively will help create a welcoming environment for both clients and their pets.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, medications, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Assist veterinary staff with basic administrative tasks as needed.
Provide information on veterinary terminology, medication administration, and animal physiology to clients.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Ezyvet medical software for managing patients record, appointment scheduling and billing.
Proficient with IDEXX diagnostic equipment including setting up and running of test.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology is preferred.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately in a kennel or clinical setting.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused attitude.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
