*Overview* We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at a busy veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This role requires a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. *Responsibilities* – Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival. – Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently. – Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, medications, and pet care. – Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date. – Process payments and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail. – Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed. – Provide information to clients about animal anatomy, husbandry, and general pet care. – Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a welcoming environment for clients. *Experience* – Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant is preferred but not required. – Familiarity with veterinary clinic operations is highly desirable. – Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry practices, and medication administration is beneficial. – Experience in laboratory settings or kennel environments will be considered an asset. – Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and team members. – Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record-keeping. Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
