Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist/ Veterinary Assistant to join our team at a busy veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations and patient medical care. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments, manage the clinic’s calendar, and confirm upcoming visits.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the database.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Assist veterinary staff with basic tasks as needed, including animal restraint during examinations.
Ensure the hospital is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Educate clients on preventive care, vaccination schedules, and clinic policies.
Requirements
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or similar environment is preferred.
Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is an asset (e.g., aseptic technique, animal physiology).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and record management.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately (dog handling experience is a plus).
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour
