Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Jobs in Tacoma, WA at Heart and Soul Veterinary Center
North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital is located beside Lake Norman in Cornelius, North Carolina, which is a quick 20 minute drive to the heart of downtown Charlotte and a short road-trip away from the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway or the Carolina coast.
We are seeking full-time Veterinary Assistants/RVTs to join our growing practice.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
Handle and restrain animals for treatment and diagnostic procedures.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
Provide basic grooming and care for animals in the clinic or kennel.
Educate pet owners on proper care and health maintenance for their animals.
Qualifications
Veterinary experience and knowledge of veterinary terminology
Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques
Familiarity with animal physiology and anatomy
Experience with animal catheterization and pet care
Understanding of dental terminology and animal husbandry
Previous kennel or veterinary technician experience preferred
Relevant skills in dog training, grooming, and X-Ray procedures
