Role Description The Veterinary Assistant – Paravet at Dairy Dictionary is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role supports animal health and welfare by assisting with routine care, monitoring livestock conditions, and reporting health concerns to veterinary professionals. Daily responsibilities include helping with basic treatments under guidance, maintaining clean and safe animal areas, and documenting health observations and procedures. The Veterinary Assistant – Paravet also helps educate farm staff and clients on best practices for animal care, supports outreach and training activities, and collaborates with team members to ensure that information shared through Dairy Dictionary aligns with sound veterinary principles and practical dairy farm operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Animal Care and Pet Care skills, with practical experience handling and observing livestock or companion animals.
- Candidates should possess skills in Client Education and Customer Service to explain animal care concepts clearly and support farm staff and clients in a respectful, professional manner.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Veterinary Medicine, including basic procedures, preventive care, and recognition of common health issues in dairy animals.
- Relevant skills such as record-keeping, attention to detail, and the ability to follow veterinary protocols and safety guidelines are highly beneficial.
- A diploma or certification in veterinary assistance, animal husbandry, or a related field is preferred; experience working in dairy farms or veterinary clinics is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate effectively in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
