We are looking to add a full (36–40 hours per week) Veterinary Assistant or non‑credentialed technician to the team.
We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic attitude who is team‑oriented and has strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated, have profound attention to detail and be able to maintain composure in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful environment. A sense of humor will come in handy.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting DVMs with patient treatments (medication administration, monitoring vitals, IV catheter placement, fluid administration, etc.)
- Performing diagnostics (x‑ray, laboratory diagnostics, CT, urinalysis, cytology, etc.)
- Restraining animals for examination and diagnostics
- Maintaining medical records
- Client education
- Medication dispensing and administration
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment

Job Types: Full‑Time
Schedule:
- 10‑hour shift
- 12‑hour shift
- Every other weekend required
- This position requires open availability, including the ability to work any shift within our hours of operation (10:00 AM–10:00 PM), seven days a week, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Milwaukee, WI 53220:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Veterinary assistant: 1 year (Required)
- Ability to gather detailed patient histories and obtain accurate vitals
- Proficient in blood collection
- Experience with urine and ear cytology interpretation preferred, but not required – we’re happy to help you grow these skills!
