We are seeking and experienced ER veterinary assistant.

FT and PT day and overnight shifts available. Overnight includes shift differential.

Skills Required:

Phlebotomy and other laboratory collection methods

Processing in-house as well as out lab samples; IDEXX, Urinalysis, Cytology

Knowledge of basic emergency procedures and ability to set up for incoming cases

Medical record-keeping and invoicing

Cash handling, POS, obtaining deposits for financial estimates

Intake and Discharge of patients

Recognizing changes in status and conditions of hospitalized patients

Ability to communicate well with a team and report to a senior staff member or DVM on shift

Following directions both verbally communicated and written.

Basic understanding of treatment/flow sheets

All aspects of veterinary nursing care not mentioned above

Other tasks to be assigned by DVM on shift or management as indicate

Job Types: Full-time, Part -time

Shifts: Overnight, 12 hour shifts available.
