Greystone Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant III to join our growing clinical team.
This advanced-level position is ideal for a Veterinary Assistant who has completed veterinary technician school and is preparing to obtain licensure. You’ll provide advanced clinical support under direct supervision, assist with complex patient care, and help mentor other Veterinary Assistants.

What You’ll Do
- Place IV catheters and intubate patients under direct supervision
- Set up fluid lines and assist with anesthesia preparation and stabilization
- Administer approved injections under appropriate supervision
- Prepare controlled and non-controlled medications under DVM or RVT supervision
- Assist with surgical preparation, positioning, sterile technique, and equipment management
- Support dental procedures, including charting, positioning, cleaning, and equipment preparation
- Process bloodwork and prepare samples for outside laboratories
- Report significant test results or changes in patient condition
- Monitor hospitalized and postoperative patients
- Train and support Level I and Level II Veterinary Assistants
- Serve as a dependable senior team member during busy shifts
What You’ll Bring
- At least one year of experience performing Veterinary Assistant duties or equivalent responsibilities.
- Completion of an accredited veterinary technician program
- Current pursuit of Veterinary Technician licensure
- Experience supporting surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and hospitalized patient care
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Reliability, professionalism, and initiative
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced clinical environment

Schedule
This is a full-time position. Specific days and hours will be discussed based on hospital needs and candidate availability.
