Position Overview:
We’re looking for a caring, motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our small animal team. Whether you’re experienced or just starting out in veterinary care, this is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of pets while working alongside a skilled and supportive group of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments
· Comfortably and safely restrain animals during procedures
· Prep exam rooms, clean surgical instruments, and maintain hospital cleanliness
· Administer medications, vaccines, and basic treatments under supervision
· Monitor patient behavior and communicate concerns
· Support front desk with phone calls, scheduling, and client check-ins/check-outs
· Educate pet owners on care, medications, and preventive health

· A love for animals and a strong desire to help them live healthy lives
· Previous veterinary or animal handling experience is a plus (but not required)
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Excellent communication and organizational skills

Pay: $16.04 – $16.79 per hour
