Requirements:

2+ years of prior veterinary experience

Avimark software knowledge preferred, not required

Idexx in-house lab equipment knowledge

Knowledge of industry tools and equipment

Confidently and comfortably restrain animals

Knowledge of surgical prep, monitoring, and recovery

Compassionate and caring toward our clients and their pets

Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.

Southdale Pet Hospital is actively seeking an organized, compassionate, and self-motivated Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, experienced in properly handling and restraining animals, knowledge of x-ray and positioning, understands the importance of client education, able to confidently dispense and administer medication prescribed by the veterinarian, and is a positive and supportive team member. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and we encourage our staff to do the same.
