Job Summary

Veterinary Assistant – ER/ICU at the Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle, Lynnwood, WA. Join us to provide end‑to‑end care for our precious patients, from outpatient treatments and lab tests to surgery assistance and client education.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures per the state Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed technicians.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with practice systems.
  • Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • 2 years of veterinary assisting or technician experience.
