Veterinary Assistant
We are excited to invite a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Fear Free veterinary hospital! In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our veterinary team while ensuring exceptional care for our beloved animal patients.
Key Responsibilities:
– Answer phone calls, warmly greet clients, and efficiently manage email communications, including laboratory results.
– Deliver an outstanding experience for clients and patients throughout their visit to the hospital.
– Check clients in and out for their appointments.
– Maintain the cash drawer accurately.
– Assist veterinarians during patient examinations with enthusiasm.
– Safely handle and restrain animals for treatments and procedures.
– Provide essential animal care and husbandry, including feeding and grooming.
– Keep our hospital environment clean and organized.
– Monitor and record vital signs of animals, immediately reporting any abnormalities to the veterinary team.
– Engage playfully with dogs and cats to ensure their comfort and well-being during visits.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience with animal handling and restraint is essential.
– A solid understanding of basic care practices.
– Familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus.
– Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detail.
– Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
– Fear Free certification is a bonus; however, training will be provided!
