We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team and provide support to our veterinarians and technicians. The successful candidate will have a passion for animals and will be responsible for providing assistance with medical procedures, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
Maintain patient records and medical charts.
Assist in the preparation of surgical instruments and equipment.
Clean and maintain animal cages and kennels.
Provide assistance with laboratory tests, such as taking blood samples or performing urinalysis.
Monitor animal behavior and report any changes to the veterinarian.
Provide basic grooming services, such as trimming nails.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour
