About us
We are a fast-paced one doctor veterinary hospital. Most diagnostics we are able to do in-house, and we do many surgeries not performed by most GP vets. Our doctor has been in practice for over thirty years and takes pride in keeping up with advances in vet med while retaining a down home, country mindset. Our staff is extremely versatile and can be found in an exam room with the doctor, monitoring surgical patients, taking x rays, or tube feeding an ICU patient. Sometimes all in the same hour.

Responsibilities:
– Assist veterinarians in providing care for animals
– Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
– Prepare and sanitize examination rooms and surgical areas
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Perform basic laboratory tests and collect samples
– Assist with dental cleanings and procedures
– Monitor vital signs of animals under anesthesia
– Provide post-operative care and monitoring
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working with animals is preferred
– Knowledge of animal behavior, handling, and restraint techniques
– Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Note: While experience is not required for this position, it can be an added advantage as it demonstrates a deeper understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques.
