Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the skills necessary to provide high-quality support in a veterinary setting. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in the health and well-being of our patients, assisting veterinarians in various procedures and ensuring that all animals receive the best possible care.
Duties:
· Provide excellent animal care by monitoring vital signs and behavior of patients
· Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
· Perform animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the animals and staff
· Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
· Conduct laboratory tests including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams
· Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
· Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures
· Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to prevent infection
· Assist with animal catheterization as required for specific medical treatments.
Qualifications:
· Experience in animal care or veterinary settings is preferred
· Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices is a plus
· Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
· Proficiency in performing basic veterinary procedures such as administering injections or IVs
· Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
· Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered

Compensation & Benefits:
