Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical care and ensure the comfort of our patients. Your contributions will be vital in helping us maintain our reputation for excellent pet care. If you have a positive attitude and will provide excellent patient care and client education, then you are the person we’re looking for! Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in examining and treating animals, ensuring pets’ comfort and safety.
Handle and restrain animals during procedures and examinations.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including animal enclosures.
Provide basic care and support for animals, including feeding and grooming.
Communicate with pet owners regarding care instructions and health concerns.
Qualifications. You:
Have a positive attitude, are reliable, and have an easy-going personality
Love working in a small general practice with a friendly & supportive staff
Have a commitment to working with integrity, for the best of the patient
Are experienced in kennel duties, such as feeding, walking, medicating animals, and cleaning (or are very willing to learn!)
Have experience with assisting a veterinarian, including patient care, treatment, and/or surgery (preferred)
Have the ability to lift 40lbs. with assistance
Have a desire to build long-term relationships with pet parents & the community
Have strong communication skills for front desk interactions and client relations
