Lilac City Veterinary Services is seeking a full-time veterinary assistant to join our team. We are a growing small animal private practice located in Spokane, Washington. The ideal candidate would be willing to jump in and help where needed as well as learn new skills with time. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has a strong desire to grow over time.
We strive to provide the highest quality of medicine and are looking for someone that wants to learn and grow with the practice. We welcome all skill levels and are willing to train and mentor individuals in different areas of the clinic. Our team is a small, close-knit group that strives to cultivate a fun and educational environment.
Must be 18 years or older. Require a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities:
Answering phones and scheduling examinations
Taking appropriate histories and calling other clinics for records
Keeping the exam rooms clean and prepped between patients
Drawing up appropriate vaccines
Appropriate and safe canine and feline restraint techniques for examinations, sample collection and vaccine administration
Communicating with clients regarding hospital protocols including vaccines series, parasite preventatives, surgical appointments, etc.
Taking payments from clients
Going over and explaining discharge instructions
Learning new skills over time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
