Dr. Q’s Pet Vet is a new small animal clinic in Delray Beach. We pride ourselves on providing the best care to our patients and customer service to our clients. We are looking for a detail-oriented, motivated, outgoing and compassionate team-player to join our team!
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
- Some knowledge of heart-worm prevention, flea and tick prevention, and basic vaccine protocols
- Must have the ability to multitask as well as work individually
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and the ability to communicate
- Intermediate/advanced computer skills. Our practice is 100% paperless.
- Available to work Saturdays and holidays when needed.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Good time management.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Taking X-rays of animals
- Places catheters and obtains blood for testing.
- Make outbound phone calls for updates and reminders.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the clinic.
- Assisting Doctors in the treatment room.
- Restraining pets during exams, nail trims, ear cleanings, etc.
- Administering medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian , filling prescriptions.
- Walking patients in and out of building
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour
