Role Description
This is a full-time Veterinary Assistant role at Mooresville Animal Hospital. The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for animal care, pet care, client education, customer service, and supporting veterinary medicine practices. This is an on-site role. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our general practice team. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal care, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to supporting our veterinary team in delivering excellent patient care. Responsibilities
Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being during visits.
Assist veterinarians with examinations and procedures, including animal handling and restraint.
Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and handling customer inquiries.
Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatments administered.
Administer medications and support pet owners with pet care advice.
Uphold cleanliness and organization within the clinic to promote a safe environment.
Qualifications
Animal Care and Pet Care skills
Client Education and Customer Service abilities
Knowledge of Veterinary Medicine
Ability to lift and restrain animals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Initiative and self-starting skills
High School Diploma
Certification in Veterinary Assisting is a plus
