Rancho West Animal Hospital is looking for a self motivated, upbeat Veterinary Technician and/or Assistant to join our team of dedicated health care providers!
Experience is required.
The ideal candidates enjoys working with the animals as well as people and are able to pay attention to detail while emphasizing customer service. Candidate should have familiarity with the following duties:
- Obtain and record patient histories.
- Assist doctors with physical examinations.
- Speaking with Clients, going over treatment plan and estimates.
- Knowledge in monitoring general anesthesia, including working with various monitoring equipment.
- Knowledge in placing IV catheters.
- Knowledge of administration of IV, IM and SQ injections
- Ability for logical, independent problem solving, and attention to detail and process.
- Knowledge in proper restraint and handling techniques.
- Can perform routine lab work and diagnostics.
- Dispensing medications.
- Knowledge of surgery instrumentation.
- Avimark experience a plus but not required.
- Assist in front office duties as needed.
Job Type: Full Time, Saturdays required.
If not available candidate will not be considered.
Scheduled Hours will be
Monday & Friday 9:30am-6:30pm
Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday 10:30am-7:30pm
Saturdays 9-2pm
With a weekday off. Closed on Sundays.
Experience in Veterinary Hospital for 1-2 year Minimum.
Pay: Starting from $19.00 per hour, depending on experience.
**Pay rate based on experience and can be discussed at time of interview.**
