We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate must have sustained expertise and technical skills as a Veterinary Assistant. In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by delivering high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care, creating a positive and low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
Duties will include:
Obtaining patient histories
Maintaining medical records
Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients
Obtaining vitals – temperature, pulse, respirations
Filling prescriptions
Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
Client communication
Providing compassionate care, a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets
Knowledge of veterinary medical terms and vaccine protocols are essential in this role.
