DRVC on Columbia Veterinary Clinic is actively seeking to add an Assistant to our team. As an assistant, you will serve as the heart of the clinic. You are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and will be instrumental in maintaining outstanding care for our patients, as well as effective communication with their families. Assistants may also act as our Exam Room Technicians. You should expect to:Keeping all cages and kennel areas cleanConduct patient check-in; including taking history, verifying vaccinations and heartworm testing, discussing preventative medications, and moreKeep patients clean and properly identifiedRestrain animals for blood draws, vaccines, ear cleanings, nail trimsHelp perform ear cleanings, nail trims and bathsFill medications when needed, help medicate hospitalized animalsRequired skills include:Ability to lift 40-50 poundsBasic handling of pets, especially cats and large dogsComfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environmentDependable with strong communication skills is a mustExperience in a veterinary clinic is preferred, but not requiredJob Type: Full-timePay: $14.00 – $14.50 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insurancePaid time offWork Location: In person
