What You’ll Do
As a Veterinary Clinic Assistant, you’ll play a key role in both patient care and client service. Our assistants are cross-trained in exam rooms, back end operations, and front desk responsibilities, giving you variety in your day and valuable experience across the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries
Record patient vitals while under anesthetic procedures
Restrain and handle patients safely and compassionately
Prepare exam rooms and equipment
Perform basic lab tests and diagnostics under supervision
Provide general care (feeding, walking, grooming, etc.)
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and communicate with clients
Maintain accurate patient records in our medical software
Creating a smooth, positive experience for every client and patient
Keep clinic areas clean, organized, and stocked
Performing TPR’s and intake on exams, surgical patients, and drop off exams.
Assist in multiple area’s of the clinic including TA. .
Qualifications
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting required
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
Comfortable with multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus
Veterinary Assistant Certification is a bonus but not required
Willingness to learn and cross-train in various areas of the clinic
