Town & Country Animal Clinic in Granbury, TX is looking for two experienced veterinary assistants/technicians to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a problem solver, motivated, engaged, and able to work flexible hours.
Position Summary:
As a Veterinary Assistant/Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinarian and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. You’ll work closely with our team to provide exceptional animal care, assist with procedures, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
Responsibilities:
*Assist our veterinarian during examinations, surgeries, and treatments *Handle and restrain cats and dogs *Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments *Administer medications and vaccinations and perform blood draws *Perform laboratory tests (bloodwork, urinalysis, etc.) *Maintain accurate records and update patient files *Provide compassionate support to pet owners *Keep treatment areas and equipment clean and sanitized *Take care of boarded animals on weekends ( rotating shifts).
Qualifications:
*Must have previous experience in a veterinary setting *Strong communication skills and empathy for animals *Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment *Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills *Comfortable handling animals of various sizes and temperaments *Open availability
