Responsibilities (day-to-day activities include but are not limited to):
Educating clients about keeping their furry family members healthy
Holding furry friends for various procedures
Cheerfully greeting clients and answering the phone
Running cool lab/blood tests using our in-house Heska Laboratory
Assisting with the exciting cases and treating hospitalized patients
Utilizing our computerized medical records in Pulse
Maintain a clean and healthy environment
Qualifications: Must have previous veterinary technician or assistant experience. The will to grow and learn (no day is the same!). Ability to hold great conversation with almost complete strangers (a.k.a. an out-going person who loves people!). Ability to perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, read fecal samples and ear discharge cytology, administer anesthesia, take radiographs, perform dental cleanings, etc. (a.k.a. the really fun stuff!) Be a team player (because there is no ‘I’ in team!). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
