Duties
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and sample collection.
- Perform tasks such as feeding, medicating, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas.
- Support anesthetic procedures by monitoring patients, understanding dental/animal biology terminology and assisting with post-operative care and education.
- Operate laboratory equipment for diagnostic testing, including X-ray/blood/urine, and other diagnostic tools.
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, ensuring their comfort and safety during examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of animal treatments, laboratory results, and radiographs.
- Support pet owners with pet care advice, including feeding, grooming, and basic training tips.
Requirements
- Previous kennel experience or animal handling background is required.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary critical care practices.
- Hands-on experience with venipuncture, laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and pet grooming is advantageous.
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively while demonstrating compassion.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and educate pet owners.

Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour
