Veterinary Assistant
Georgetown Animal Clinic is looking for a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team!

What You’ll Do
As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and technicians while ensuring every patient receives exceptional care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Safely handling and restraining animals of all sizes and temperaments using low-stress techniques whenever possible
- Educating clients on patient care, medications, and preventive health recommendations
- Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records
- Providing compassionate, attentive care to every patient
- Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining a safe, organized hospital environment
- Working collaboratively with our team to create a positive experience for clients and their pets

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout an 8-hour shift
- Safely handle animals of varying sizes and temperaments
Schedule
Monday through Friday
35–40 hours per week
No weekends
Compensation
Compensation is competitive and based on your experience, knowledge, and hands-on skills.
