Mebane Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent position for candidates with foundational training who are looking to grow their career in veterinary medicine.
In this role, you will provide assistance to Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians, including gentle animal handling and restraint during outpatient procedures such as physical exams, vaccines, and blood draws. You will prepare and clean patient areas throughout the day, including exam rooms and procedural/treatment areas, anticipating team needs and ensuring preparedness and efficiency. This is an ideal position for an efficient team member who enjoys a supportive role in a team-oriented environment!
This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday. NO WEEKENDS!
Full-Time Benefits and Compensation:
Compensation: $16-$20/hour, based on experience and skillset
Bonus Package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum Qualifications and Skillset:
Veterinary experience in a clinical setting desired
We are willing to train the right person
Commitment to a career in veterinary medicine with ongoing training
Proficiency in the following skills:
Proper restraint technique
Exam room assisting
Detailed note taker
Exceptional client service skills
