As our fast paced practice continues to grow The Animal Center LI is looking to add an additional Veterinary assistant to our team. Applicants should have flexible hours and be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Our ideal candidate is very reliable, works well with others, and is eager to work with animals. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Restraining patients during veterinary exams
Assisting Veterinarians and Vet Techs with treatments and procedures
Cleaning hospital and kennels
Bringing patients in and out of the hospital
We are looking to hire someone who is always punctual, professional, respectful and reliable.
Experience in the Veterinary field is required. Experienced candidates who are in a Vet tech program will be given the opportunity to train as a veterinary technician.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 – $20.00 per hour
